Have you ever asked yourself: who would replace me if I were sick for months? Who can do my job as good as I am? If I am not doing this, who’s going to do it?

We all have a purpose, we all have our unique talents to serve and to contribute. When you get up in the morning, everything you’re doing is part of your purpose. To have the conviction that you’re exactly where you need to be in this moment, doing exactly what you need to be doing in this moment, is living a life of purpose and everything becomes meaningful.

If you get up in the morning and you are unhappy, you feel empty, you have to force yourself out of bed or you feel depressed, this might be a sign that you have not yet found your purpose in life. Or maybe you know what you should be doing, but you are stuck in your own crazy life you have created for yourself.

I have seen and I met many people that are going about life like robots. They get up in the morning to do a job they don’t like because they have to make money. They have lost their way to creativity, inspiration and purpose. They are either burnt out, anxious or they got really numb about who they are and what they really want.

Most of the people live with the illusion that happiness is in the future. One day when I will be….  fill-in the blank … or one day when I’ll have: … fill-in the blank… Then, I’ll be happy.

To me, happiness and inner peace are very much interconnected. Peace is not something external, it is something that emerges from within just like happiness. If I am not at peace, happiness is not fully experienced.

When I started to meditate regularly fifteen years ago, I realized how I was chasing after my own happiness. After a while, I understood that while I was meditating, I felt had everything I needed at that moment, I felt secure, content, fulfilled and well. I was able to go on about my daily activities and I was no longer chasing after my dreams and goals. I was able to connect with my inner peace during the day without having to sit for meditation.

My material life became a reflection of my inner state, and it became more abundant. I did not have to renounce my dreams and goals… I was able to balance my material life and spiritual life more easily and abundance has been flowing into my life ever since.

My inner chaos transformed into calm and happiness. And because of that, I was able to create my life the way I really wanted; because my purpose became crystal clear! The flow of my life became peaceful and it was easier for me to become the master of my own destiny, because I was no longer distracted from the bombardments of today’s world. I was able to connect with my truth.

So for someone that wants to become the best in the world at what they’re doing, they can certainly achieve that; but will they find happiness? I believe that in life, you have the high achievers that are miserable people (I mean people that go only for the external success) and you have the high achievers that inspire people and are the true leaders of this world; not because of what they have accumulated, but for who they are, for what they have contributed to the world, for that glimpse of peace and contentment you feel in their presence.

What do you think is the difference between the two high achievers?

What’s your purpose?

Do you seek to become self-actualized? Are you searcing for the meaning of your own llife?

There are practical tools you can use on a daily basis that are really easy to implement. The online meditation program FINALLY AT PEACE can help you connect with your purpose by training you to listen to your inner voice. It only takes 10 minutes a day and can easily be incorporated into your daily routine.

In the seasonal weekend immersions I offer, women experience yoga practices, meditation practices, deep breathing practices and start their inner quest. I guide them in understanding what is really out of balance in their life and how they can take back their own power and start creating their life instead of reacting to daily responsibilities.

You can think, yes but there are things that I cannot change about my life…. so how can I be at peace with the things I cannot change?

Find your purpose and your life will lighten up in a totally different way.

I believe everyone has a purpose and if everyone were to follow their true calling, everyone would find happiness.
