Meditation quiets the mind and when the mind is quiet, the body slows down. While meditating, your hearth and breath slow down considerably; this allows the experience of oneness that yogis are talking about. So technically, in a way, you cannot really meditate while running. If you would like to experience some of the benefits meditation offers, without actually sitting for thirty minutes a day, you could bring your awareness to your breath during your run and whenever your mind wonders away, you bring it back to the breath. See how it feels to not think for a few minutes a day!
